Aber has been working in many media for 50 years and is inspired by ancient Pre-Christian art. She has executed works in paint, 3-D textiles, sculpture, and jewelry.

Aber has held many volunteer and paid professional curatorial and conservation positions and is currently Adjunct Curator of Collections at Park Avenue Synagogue in New York City.

Her works are to be found in many major museums and institutions and she is listed in Who's Who In American Art.
