Badran is a Palestinian artist born in Tripoli, Libya, who studied painting and drawing at the Faculty of Fine Arts at Cairo University in Egypt and continued her education at L'Accademia di Belle Arti in Florence. There she received an additional degree in etching and painting in 1982.

She painted a mural project at Liège University in Belgium in 1980, and her work can be found in private and public collections in Italy, Spain, and Jordan.
