Beck-Friedman is a sculptor whose work is inspired by archetypal images of the feminine as expressed in ancient myths. While not narrating a particular story, the work embodies the cumulative myth; primordial images emerge as the human figure fuses with nature formations.

She has shown nationally as well as internationally. Her recent solo shows include: The New Jersey State Museum; Bill Bace Gallery, New York City; The Newark Museum, NJ; Ben Shahn Gallery, William Paterson College; The Morris Museum, NJ; and The Herzliya Museum in Israel.

Her work is in numerous public collections, including: The Newark Museum; Herzliya Museum, Israel; Arizona State University Museum; New Jersey State Museum; Fukuoka Town Hall, Japan; Schering-Plough Corporation; Be'er Sheva City Hall, Israel; Skidmore College, NY; and William Paterson College, NJ.
