Beckert is primarily a printmaker and painter, though she has used other mediums such as drawing, bookmaking, and collage. Her work explores the images our human species has used when creating systems to define the unknown: maps, pictographs, scientific charts, etc. She creates with a topographical landscape in mind, a format she has chosen to order her exploration of images and thoughts.
