Block is an exhibiting artist, technical illustrator, and art instructor. In Toronto, she studied at York University, 1973-74, Three Schools of Art, 1974-75, and the New School of Art, 1975-76. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Concordia University, Montreal, Canada in 1978.
Her selected solo exhibitions include: Galerie L'autre equivoque, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, 1990 and 94; Galerie Alliance, Montreal, Quebec, Canada, 1988; and Galerie III, Montreal, 1987.
