After completing her MFA in Sculpture at The School of The Art Institute of Chicago in 1991, Bock worked in Chicago for five years as artist and teacher. She participated in a collaborative installation at the Museum of Contemporary Art and exhibited her work in various galleries and alternative venues.

Now an Assistant Professor of Sculpture at the University of Connecticut at Storrs, Bock teaches foundations and metals, and continues her work in mixed media sculpture and collaborative installation.

Among other awards, Bock has received an Arts Midwest/NEA Regional Visual Artist Fellowship and an Illinois Arts Council Special Assistance Grant. She has exhibited outside Chicago at the Mattress Factory, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; as well as in Atlanta, Georgia; Memphis, Tennessee; and New York.
