Boyadjieva was born in Pleven, Bulgaria. She received her degree in Textiles from the National Academy of Fine Arts, Sofia, Bulgaria. Boyadjieva is a member of the Union of Bulgarian Artists, Sofia, and is Associate Professor in the National Academy of Fine Arts, textile department. She works in the areas of textile art, plastics, paper, and drawing. Her work is found in the National Gallery for Craft Art, Sofia, and in private collections worldwide.
