The World's Women On-Line!

Chatelain's handmade paper wall sculptures are created from natural cotton and abaca fiber paper pulp which is dyed and then formed on a vacuum table into textured shapes, coaxed in soft waves or sculpted into monumental forms.

Paper fascinates her, especially the contrast between the delicate, fragile fibers and the strong, dramatically compelling sculptures she can create in this medium.

Chatelain's work is joyful and is rooted in thanksgiving and reverence for creation and her Creator, and has been exhibited in numerous galleries, museums, and universities as well as private, corporate, and institutional fine art collections since 1982.
