Influenced by the natural and architectural environment, Cohen's artwork has always reflected both an exploration of different media and a response to the mood of the subject rendered. She often works from material gleaned on her frequent travels. The list of countries Cohen has visited include: Greece, Japan, Hong Kong, Italy, Yugoslavia, Portugal, Mexico, France, and Spain. Flight, originally carved in serpentine, is a free flowing bird form cast in a translucent polyresin material: marplex.
