Liz Dodson, as an artist, has moved along a path from drawing and painting to electronic art and video. She seeks to explore the passageways we travel in life and is interested in trying to find the edge between meaning and the abstract.
Recently, in Dodson's artwork, family history, women's issues, science, and art related areas, some involving fractals and water as metaphor, have become the themes and primary imagery.
She also illustrates children's books and creates electronic art calendars and greeting cards. She teaches electronic art and multimedia at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design.
