|Sue Crosby Doyle||
Title: Ancient Ones
Size: 50" x 36"
Primarily a printmaker, Crosby Doyle is always experimenting with new objects and ideas, and looking for things she can ink and press. Her themes work off her materials and vice versa. She always uses the printmaker's tools to the best advantage. When the print is done, it is almost disappointing to her because the work is complete. The creation is in the print, not its completion.
Fine artist, teacher, juror, book designer, gallery director, and docent are the various hats Crosby Doyle wears.
She received a BFA in Printmaking from Metropolitan State College, Denver, Colorado in 1991 and was awarded a Partial Fellowship to Vermont Studio Center in 1995. Her work has been in many juried, solo, invitational, and group exhibitions, and has won several awards.
