The World's Women On-Line!

Dritschel's work in both objects and site installations focuses on the use of non-art materials as the conduit for the content where word and image share equal importance, while the material acts as a metaphor to reinforce the meaning.

While living in Brazil from 1978 to '86, Dritschel participated in two International Säo Paulo Bienals (1981 and '83). In 1994 she was invited into the exhibition, Bienal Brasil Seculo XX (a survey of 20th century Brazilian art). Her work has been in numerous solo museum and group exhibitions throughout the United States and Europe, and she was a recipient of a 1992 Fulbright Senior Scholar's Grant.

As an Independent Curator, Dritschel produced 8 major exhibitions which included 5 international exchanges; created an audio visual presentation, Women Celebrating Woman in Brazil, shown at numerous venues including the ICA, London and A.I.R. Gallery, New York, 1983; and was responsible for the first all woman museum exhibition in Brazil, 40 American Women Artists 1980.
