Fox's work is about politics, personal experience, and the enjoyment of the act of painting itself. She might incorporate mixed media, or emphasize figurative images or abstraction, often using more than one image at a time, breaking the picture plane into many images. While tempted sometimes to be done with the struggles and conflicts of these disparate elements, it is their inclusion and juxtapositions which create excitement and freshness.
She teaches at the National Technical Institute for the Deaf, Rochester Institute of Technology, Rochester, New York.
Her recent exhibitions include: Adams Art Gallery, Dunkirk, New York, 1996; Utica College of Syracuse University, Utica, New York, 1995; and GEVA Theater, Rochester, 1993.
