Ghassib was born in Amman, Jordan. She works in a native style from memory, using the Jordanian countryside and cultural ambiance as her subject matter.

After high school in Jordan, Ghassib studied at Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kansas. She has had two solo exhibitions in Amman and has been the subject of a television special. Her work can be found in several international private collections.
