Grabel creates humanistic, figurative, narrative sculpture in clay and wood, on such social issues as consumerism, homelessness, and alienation.
Her public works include a commission for a ceramic mural at Staten Island Children's Museum, New York and a NYC grant for a sculpture at the Center for Women's Health on Staten Island, New York.
Grabel has exhibited nationally in over 50 shows since 1975 including: Sculpture of the 70's: The Figure, Pratt Manhattan Center, New York; and In Three Dimensions: Women Sculptors of the 90's, Snug Harbor Cultural Center, Staten Island, New York.
