Martha Hart's paperworks evoke a range of responses from enthusiastic raves to puzzlement.

Hart states, "Creating art is an ongoing, ever-evolving journey, one that is inseparable from my life journey, so that what I learn, what I touch, what I experience at any moment finds its way into each aspect of myself."

Part Californian, part East-Coaster, she has lived in San Diego since the mid-'60's with sojourns for work and study to all four corners of the United States--but now finds the challenges in seeking new definitions in her artwork to be just as wide-ranging.
