Hoch has had five solo exhibitions in the United States and has been in group and juried exhibitions in the United States and New Zealand.

She holds a Ph.D. in anthropology which fuels her artwork with knowledge of collective symbol systems, gender analysis, and non-western art and religion.

In addition to large banner oil paintings, Hoch has completed a series of very large, folding, wooden screens with images of ancient Goddesses and other characters from Neolithic Europe.
