Born in the US, jecca has lived in Tokyo, Japan and currently resides in both Paris, France and the US. She received her MFA from the Rhode Island School of Design where she was an Honors student in Photography, and her BA magna cum laude from Brown University, Providence, Rhode Island. She has an upcoming residency at the Experimental Television Center in New York, has been an Artist in Residence at the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris, and has received two grants for exhibitions in the US.

jecca has exhibited video, photography and installations primarily in the US and France. Recent exhibitions from 2001-2003 include REM Map, RISD Museum; Synapse and Untitled Technology, Sol Koffler Gallery; Expression of Emotions, traveling to 4 sites in the US; Rencontres Internationales, Paris and Berlin; Towers of Light, Brown University, the RISD Museum and the Providence Art Club; Ground Zero 10/01, RISD Design Center; Tree Satellites, Parcours Saint-Germain-Des-Prés in Paris; and MUKA 366/2000, New Zealand.
