Cynthia Clarke Jones is a freelance illustrator and printmaker specializing in lino cut, scratchboard, pen and ink, and kiri-e (cut paper). She studied at Hunter College under L. Kimmel from 1963 to '65, then at Brooklyn Museum, Art Students League, and Art Career School, all in New York.
Jones is a member of: Artists Equity Association of New York; AQA; Women's Caucus for Art; College Art Association; NAWA; GAP; and The National Museum of Women in the Arts. She is listed in: Who's Who in the East 1993-'94; The Archives of The National Museum of Women in the Arts 1993; and Who's Who in American Art 1995-'96.
Her work has been in many juried and solo exhibitions and her kiri-e method was featured in the Jan. 1995 edition of North Light Magazine. She won The Kreindler Memorial Award from NAWA in 1995 and the France Lieber Memorial Award in 1992.
