The fiber works of Rhoda Juels are inspired by her dedication to feminism. Through them she has a vehicle for social statements to be used as catalysts for changing society.
Juels uses materials that she has collected for more than twenty-five years, such as irreplaceable antique beads, as well as yarns, artifacts, and everyday objects mounted on a foundation of window screen and brass screen from China.
She has shown her work in many juried exhibitions in the United States, as well as in her ongoing forest installation which is a celebration of the United Nations Fourth World Conference on Women which she attended.
