The World's Women On-Line!

Through paintings, drawings, and monotypes on canvas and paper with oil, acrylic, or mixed media, Keizer often works in series, developing an ongoing pictorial narrative using abstracted images as metaphor.

"Known for her visceral explorations of line, color, and feeling on canvas, the artist frequently works on a smaller scale utilizing drawing and monotype, the latter especially serving as a means to express ideas in a quick, spontaneous manner that reinforces her paintings and influences changes in palette and imagery." --From Speaking Abstractly, an exhibition at the Richard L. Nelson Gallery, University of California, Davis.

Keizer's exhibition record includes solo and group exhibitions spanning the period from 1976 to the present, she has been a MacDowell Fellow, and has served as juror of numerous exhibitions. She is currently represented by the Margo Jacobsen Gallery in Portland, Oregon.
