Konopka was born in Szczecin, Poland. She has privately studied various techniques in the visual arts. She received the diploma of the musician-instrumentalist from F. Chopin State School of Music, Warsaw. She attended a seminar in the Polish Psychotronic Society, Warsaw and studied for years at the College of Psychotronics, Lodz and the National Film Academy, Lodz. Konopka specializes in multimedia art. Since 1989 she has been involved in the art of the mobile image: video-art, video-performance, video-installation, and internet projects. She is a member of Other Media Artists Association. Her work has appeared in over sixty presentations, festivals, and exhibitions in Poland and abroad. Konopka is also an author of the music for ten films about art.
