Peggy Kwong-Gordon was born and raised in China. She received her BS in Painting and Design from the University of California, Berkeley in 1955 and her MFA from Carnegie-Mellon in 1965. She is currently teaching painting at Western Reserve Academy and Kent State University in Ohio.

Her selected solo exhibitions include: Student Center Gallery, Kent State University, Ohio, 1991; Firelands Association of the Visual Arts, Oberlin, Ohio, 1990; Sarah Doyle Gallery, Brown University, Providence, Rhode Island, 1986; and Hillyer Gallery, Smith College, Northampton, Massachusetts, 1986.
