From 1988 to 1997 Lambros lived in Manhattan, New York where she worked professionally in photography and advertising while maintaining a drawing and painting studio. From 1994 to 1995 she also was Assistant Gallery Director at An American Craftsman in Manhattan. Living in Los Angeles for a year, Lambros felt inspired by and began painting the seascapes and landscapes of Southern California in 1995 and then expanded her painting to include scenes of Maine, Maryland, and Virginia.
