Mericle is an artist who has worked in the media of watercolor, pastel, collage, etching, assemblage, film, and animation. Her current and ongoing work (2001 to present) is a series of three-dimensional miniature theaters of tiny proportion, which are then digitally photographed and enlarged as two-dimensional photos. Her work has been exhibited in many national juried shows including: Watercolor USA, Everson Biennial, New Orleans's Worlds Fair, and The Print Club of Philadelphia.
