Monsour received her BFA in Art Education from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1987. She studied ceramics and metalworking at the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville from 1980 to '83.
Since 1991, Monsour has been a full-time ceramic and metals teacher at Kent Denver School in Englewood, Colorado, and since 1993 she has been the Visual Art Coordinator. She is a member of Core Gallery, Denver, Colorado; Women's Caucus for the Arts; the National Art Education Association; and the American Craft Council.
Her selected exhibitions include: Core Gallery, Denver, Colorado, 1991, '92 and '94; Emmanuel Gallery, Denver 1993; Spark Gallery, Denver, 1992; CAEAE, University of Denver School of Art, Denver, 1990; Mckinley Foundation, Champaign, Illinois, 1988; and University of Illinois, Champaign, 1985, '86, and '87.
