Muraywid was born in Damascus, Syria, and educated at the École de Beaux-Arts de Dames, Damascus, and the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Decoratifs, Paris. Muraywid has lived and worked in Paris since 1981. Her work is included in various European public and private collections.
