Panayotova was born in Sofia, Bulgaria. She graduated from the High School of Fine Arts, Sofia and and then earned a degree in Painting from the Academy of Fine Arts, Sofia. Her work is included in the public collections of the National Art Gallery, Sofia and the Municipal Art Gallery, Sofia; and in private collections in Bulgaria, Germany, USA, France, and Switzerland.
