Title: Flower Inside
Medium: Cloth, paint, and string
Size: 19" x 6"
Pfeiffer-Towner uses cloth in soft sculpture. She also paints and draws on canvas, an inherited medium that underlines the pliant nature of being female.
In her solo exhibition in 1995, all the images were of human beings, some without arms and some with braided or bound limbs as inThe Bride, which was encased in plastic as though she was an object for sale.
Pfeiffer-Towner's work was described in the Press Citizen as, "reveals existential loneliness."
