Plum's intent is to portray the American Indian in a favorable and interesting manner. In her work she empashizes true light which gives interesting patterns and shadows and reflected light which gives the glow of warmth and life. She strives for these effects in her photography then brings them to reality in her paintings.

She has shown in many juried exhibitions and private invitationals such as Snake River Show Case at Lewiston, Idaho; Western Art Association, Ellensburg, Washington; and Waldarfs Gallery Show, Spokane, Washington.
