Polli has been working with the integration of art and technology since 1985. She has worked extensively with generative musical systems and created an interactive improvisation system for computer and live performance based on chaotic geometry which was presented at the Ferienkurze fur Neue Musik in Darmstadt, Germany; and at the 1992 and 1993 National Joint Conferences of the Mathematical Association of America and the American Mathematical Society.
In 1993 and 1994, she presented Environment of Violence, a multimedia installation project on the prevention of gang related violence among children. It was shown throughout the Midwest and was awarded the Colfax Cultural Center's Art and Social Justice Award. A related Public Service Announcement was aired on Cable Access Chicago daily throughout 1993 and 1994 and continues to be shown.
Currently, she is a member of Artemisia Gallery, Lighting Designer and Technical Director for Doorika Theatre Collective, and runs an intensive Associate Degree Program in Multimedia at Robert Morris College.
