Praxmayer was born in Cracow, Poland. She received her Diploma in Drawing from Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts, Paris. Praxmayer is a member of The Association of Polish Artists and Designers (ZPAP), Association Internationale des Arts Plastiques (AIAP-UNESCO), and Alliance of Women Artists. She is represented by Agora Gallery, New York and Galeria Ave, Cracow.

About her work, Praxmayer states, "My creations show a vision of a new world; one less banal than in everyday life. It's a kind of mixture of real and unreal, past and present, using humans and animals, myths and realities. The normal is almost unknown. My paintings are in general figurative, but the 'vision' is abstract; I am interested in the relationship between realities and the absurd. I push the borders of every day life a little bit more 'beyond', and show the 'new point of view' and a new reflection on the human existance."

Her selected exhibitions include: ZPAP Regional Exhibition, Cracow, 1998; Autumn Salon '97, 1997; Polish Biennial of Pastels, Nowy Sacz, 1996; Absurd et Réalite, Solo Ehxibition, Paris, 1997; Images Against AIDS, Centre Pompidou, Paris, 1996; Ecology '95, Radom, Poland, 1995; Small Format '94, Sukiennice Gallery, Cracow, 1994; Young Painters of ZPAP, Pryzmat Gallery, Cracow, 1993; 10th International Biennial for Sport in the Fine Arts, Barcelona, 1993; Watercolours, Fondation Sinaide Ghi, Rome, 1993 and '92; Biennale SACRUM '92, Opole, Poland, 1992; Solo Exhibition, Cl Miromesnil, Paris, 1992; and Hof de Bist, Antwerp, Belgium, 1992.
