Robinson's paintings and drawings are based upon her surroundings. Abstracted images of water, trees, sky, and reflections of clouds are all echoes which resonate from the wider eminence of the mystery of nature.

Her selected collections include: The National Museum of Women in the Arts, Washington DC; McNay Museum, San Antonio, Texas; Museo Reina Sofia, Madrid, Spain; Museau Nationâl De Arte Contemporanea, Lisbon, Portugal; and the White House, Washington DC.

Robinson has exhibited in the United States, France, Spain, Kenya, and Nepal. Selected exhibitions include: Lee Hausley Gallery, Raleigh, North Carolina; Sol Del Rio, San Antonio, Texas; and the Emerson Gallery, McLean, Virginia. She is a three-time recipient of a National Endowment for the Arts Award, 1977, '78, and '81.
