Rothstein's sculpture involves architectural forms such as shelters and sanctuaries, executed in mixed media. Her work has been reviewed in the New York Times, 1993; and included in Arthur Williams', Sculpture-Technique, Form and Content, 1995.

She is a member of the National Association of Women Artists and the 1995 winner of the Beatrice Epstein Memorial Award for Sculpture; as well as being a member of the National Drawing Association.
