Sanchez states, "The body of my visual artworks explore the images and cultural milieu of the southwest and of my home tribe in New Mexico, my native state."

She also states, "I prefer to remain involved in community arts at the grass roots level. I am currently active in our local visual arts association and arts council." As such, Sanchez has exhibited her work at the State Fair Community College, Sedalia Missouri; and was one part of a two-artist exhibition in February, 1996.
