Jean Smith received her BA in Art and Elementary Education from Milton College, Wisconsin. She has also taken graduate classes at Potsdam College, New York; the University of Colorado, Denver; Metro State College, Denver; and Lesley College, Cambridge, Massachusetts. She works primarily in three mediums: clay, monotype, and handcolored photography. Her subject matter includes amusing interpretations of Americana-- people, places, and things.
