Todaro was born in Flushing, New York. She received her BS from Southwest Missouri State University, Springfield, Missouri. She took studio art courses at Brookhaven College, Farmers Branch, Texas and graduate studies at the University of North Texas, Dallas. Todaro received her MFA in Sculpture from the San Francisco Art Institute. The majority of her sculptures have been mixed media assemblages, sometimes combined with cast bronze or iron art. She chooses to work with found objects due to her concern for recycling as well as the added dimension of history inherent in the objects.
