Valesco received her BA from the University of California, Los Angeles and her MA from California State University, Long Beach. She has taught at the San Francisco Art Institute, San Francisco State University, the Academy of Art College, and the University of California at Berkeley. Her work is found in many public and private collections including: the Fine Arts Museum, San Francisco; New York City Public Library; and the Oakland Museum, Oakland, California. She has consigned work in over 40 galleries, nationally and internationally and her art has been included in over 150 exhibitions.
