Wagschal was born in Port of Spain, Trinidad and has lived in Montreal, Canada for over 40 years. She received her BA in Fine Arts and her MA in Art Education from Concordia University, Montreal. Presently, Wagschal teaches Painting and Drawing for the Department of Painting and Drawing in the Fine Arts Faculty at Concordia University. Her work consists of large-scale figurative oil paintings which often feature the human image as a metaphor of lived experience today. She is represented by Galerie Bellefeuelle.
