Weisberg is an artist and art writer who is Professor and Dean of Fine Arts at the University of Southern California, Los Angeles. She received her BFA and MA from the University of Michigan as well as a Laurea in painting and printmaking from the Accademia di Belle Arti, Perugia, Italy. Weisberg is Past-President of the College Art Association.

Her work is found in many important collections including: the National Gallery of Art, Washington, DC; Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York; Whitney Museum of American Art, New York; The Chicago Institute, Illinois; The Bibliothèque Nationale of France, Paris; The Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, California; Joslyn Art Museum, Omaha, Nebraska; Indianapolis Museum of Art, Indiana; Los Angeles County Museum of Art, California; The National Museum of Women in the Arts, Washington, DC; The Norwegian National Museum, Oslo, Norway; and Portland Art Museum, Oregon.

Weisberg has received honors such as a National Endowment for the Humanities Fellowship, 1994 and the Fulbright Award, 1992.
