A native of Rochester, New York, Woodward received her BFA Magna Cum Laude in Printmaking from Syracuse University, New York and her MFA Summa Cum Laude in Studio Art from Clemson University, South Carolina. She also studied under a Student Exchange Program at Central St. Martin's College of Art & Design, London, England.
In her work, Woodward exploits the tension between vulnerability and protection, the simultaneity of image and object, and the ambiguity that lies somewhere in between. Her current works are sculptural paintings on handmade paper.
