Worthington creates construction/assemblages--ranging from life-size to intimate--many of which are kinetic, interactive, incorporating light and sound--all addressing the social and psychological aspects of the human condition. She received her MFA in Sculpture from Pennsylvania State University, University Park, and has been a professional artist for over 20 years. Her work is in the permanent collections of The National Museum of Women in the Arts, Washington, DC and the United States Department of State, Art in Embassies Program, Washington, DC. Worthington is featured in Contemporary American Women Sculptors, by Virginia Jones (Ornyx Press, 1986). Femalines--Phases of Female-Feline Phenomena is a book of original art and social commentary, by Nancy Worthington (Torrance Publishing, 1994).
